mo husseini loves writing in the caesarian third. mo husseini tries to, when he can, avoid splitting infinitives. enamored at an early age by the decadent feel of cashmere, mo husseini moved to america to learn all that he could about the fine textiles industry. mo husseini has succeeded where many have failed. mo husseini is a scatologic polyglot. mo husseini likes off-color stories that begin with foreigners entering bars. mo husseini resents spelling color with no “u”. mo husseini is not now, nor has he ever been a member of a tennis doubles team, although he’d like to be. mo husseini once showed so much promise, was told repeatedly to pull his socks up… straighten his tie… and reminded that this would go down on his permanent record. after years in an english boarding school, mo husseini emerged a warm and fuzzy, touch-feely, new-age, kinda guy. mo husseini is easily startled by sudden movements, although he has never been in jail. mo husseini is tired of typing his name now, although it seemed funny a paragraph ago.
ok... so here is the real story... mo husseini was born in cairo and spent the first eleven years of his life in kuwait where he learned the finer points of heat evasion. he was sent to boarding school in england before finishing high school in amman, jordan. at the earliest possible opportunity, mo escaped to boston where he learned to hate the words "below zero" and then suddenly, very suddenly made the move to san francisco where he studied political economics at u.c. berkeley, with the intent of going to law school. realizing that lawyers are weasels, and that money is overrated, mo (in his search for the "happy place") was entranced by the siren song of filmmaking.
mo began freelancing in the world of independent documentaries and delving into the sundry arcana of film throughout the early 1990's. through a whacky network of close friends he found himself at a san francisco production company (which has now gained cult status in the annals of animation history, (colossal) pictures of mtv liquid television fame). his skill sets eventually led him to a position as a post-production supervisor at industrial light and magic, where after two years of supervising he spent five years being a visual effects supervisor and occasionally directing in the commercial division. mo frequently enjoys the matinée discount.
