Brent Jones may be new to directing, but not to production.  With 15 years of experience on sets of commercials, features and music videos as an electrician, gaffer and key grip, Jones knows his way around a sound stage like few others.  In features, he worked for Steven Spielberg on three films: Amistad, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and War of the Worlds, as well as Jerry Maguire with Cameron Crowe, Darkman, Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 for Sam Raimi, and Bound for the Wachowski Brothers.

When he made his leap into directing in 2004, Jones did it was flair, directing a 30-minute Twilight Zone-like psychological thriller from his own story, The Company Man.  The film starred Scott Vance of Fox-TV’s 24, and was an official selection at both the Los Angeles and Kansas City Film Festivals.  He also directed “Air Guitar,” one of a series of branded entertainment Internet film's for Aquafina.  Commercials, however, are Jones’ first love and he’s learned from some of the best—Jake Scott, Baker Smith, Michael Bay, Spike Jonze, Jeff Preiss, Dominic Sena and others—before striking out on his own this year.  Over the last six months, he has directed original concepts from creatives at agencies such as The Ballpark, Dailey & Associates, TBWA Chiat/Day, and Tribal DDB.  “For me, it all starts in casting,” Jones says.  “Working with good, uninhibited actors who are willing to throw caution to the wind is what drives me.  Great concepts need the extraordinary magic that only great talent can bring.”
