John is a recent transplant to CA having spent most of his career on the East coast as a photographer in advertising. From his home base in Boston, John has traveled extensively shooting for clients some of which have included Bose,Fleet,IBM,Nokia,Staples and Volkswagen.
He began his directing career by answering a challenge from an agency creative to craft a series of spots featuring only close-ups of a shoe for a golf shoe manafacturer. Although spots containing strong visuals and composition draw from his experiences as a photographer, comedy is a truer match to his personality and thus his chosen path.
John resides in Santa Monica with his wife Janet and sons Christopher and Justin.
