Evin Grant¹s career began in photography. As the grandson of a prolific Life magazine photographer, he grew up immersed in images.
Graduating from the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, Evin went on to photograph some of Hollywood¹s best-known talent. He shot for magazines like American Salon, the Los Angeles Times Magazine, Premiere, and has been featured in American Photo and Photographic magazines.
A love for photography soon became a love of the moving image, and Evin began directing the photography of commercials and music videos. This led to his discovery by Jamee Natella executive producer at Blueyed Pictures in Los Angeles where he is now represented. In late 2002 he was invited to lens his first feature film, Fronterz (due Spring 2004). Evin also D.P.d two of the previous Group 101 Spots: one for Dina Mande and one for Anthony Delesandro. Recently, he shot the ŒBumbers and Spots¹ for the new Ellen Degeneres Show as well as an Anti-Smoking PSA with fellow Blueyed Director, Scott Young.
With DP credentials secured, Evin is ready to take his authentic style into the director¹s chair. He will focus primarily on a dramatic and visual approach.
