Andrew George is an artist who works in a variety of media. In addition to his figurative oil paintings, he has directed numerous television commercials and short films. Andrew also directed and designed the San Francisco premiere of Brian Friel¹s Molly Sweeney in a month-long, multi-media staging that involved the projection of over 3000 slides he photographed.
Andrew is currently having a traveling exhibition of his first solo photography show, Weights and Measures, which opened at Bergamot Station, Santa Monica, then traveled to galleries in San Francisco and Chicago. Showings in Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and New York City are in the works for 2004.
Andrew received his BA from Bard College with a double major in 19th century European Literature and Experimental Film, and an MFA from Art Center College of Design.
