Larry Shanet (co-founder of the directing team Kranky) has written and produced commercials for clients in all areas of business, both in the U.S. and internationally. Recent Kranky directorial credits include a series of internet films for Pepsi-Cola and a commercial for OurHouse.com, as well as a PSA for the National Committee to Prevent Child Abuse. Kranky also helmed the notorious short film ³We¹re Kranky², which is currently a national finalist in the Get Shorty short film festival.

In addition to his work with Kranky, Larry has been an award-winning freelance writer, producer and director for some of the top advertising agencies in the world, including McCann Erickson, Amster Yard, Kirshenbaum & Bond, Berlin Cameron, Leo Burnett, Dweck! and Campbell, RSY, The Blum Group, Slater/Hanft/Martin and others. His clients have included Bacardi, Reebok, Coca-Cola, Sony, McDonald¹s, Sysco Foods, Sidari¹s pasta, Mustang, GMC Trucks, Twinlab, UPN, Fresh Samantha, Motorola, Martini & Rossi and Sol beer, among others.

To complement his advertising work, Larry is also involved in various projects in the entertainment world. He is the Head Writer for the animated series Badtime Stories, currently in development, and he recently helmed the Off-Broadway play Connections, which received ³Best Of Citysearch² honors.

Larry's advertising awards include a Cannes Gold Lion and multiple Clios, One Show awards, ADDYs, ANDYs Art Director's Club, CA, D & AD, AICP/MOMA, Adweek Creativity Best Spots, SHOOT Magazine Top Spot, and Boards Magazine Top Ten of 1999.
